Person with two answer will mostly likely get 10 pts

A: They are injected intramuscular, into the muscle tissue.
You only have to get the needle into the muscle tissue. So it will depend on how much adipose that the patient has on top of the muscle as to how far the needle will have to be inserted. A very lean person may only have to insert the needle a quarter inch into the thigh or buttocks, whereas a very obese person may have to insert the needle a good 2 inches to get it through the layers of adipose and reach the muscle tissue.

The reason you may choose to use injectable B12 compounds as opposed to oral administration, is due to the fact that some patients have a very poor ability to absorb the vitamin, so if given orally or intranasaly even, they will not absorb enough of it and therefore it will not help their condition, whereas the injection will eliminate much of the need for absorbtion.

Drawbacks are just like any injectable drug or supplement that will be performed by the patient themselves and that is performing the injection incorrectly. It can lead to infection or even damage to nerves, tissue, etc. if the patient does not follow the directions and instructions given to them by a health professional.
