A: Welli am NO medical doctor,.. nor have i done any research, however… i would assume that YES… it does. Whenever i have smoked and not taking my dialy vitamins, or exercised that day,.. i get a mild panic attack. Why? I have taken vitamin B in the past and no reactions. I can not remember the company though.
A: since you have taken it in the past, try to find a brand that does not have artificial colors in them. Many times, that is the issue with allergy and pill taking. My sister spent 3 trips to the ER with severe hives and allergic reaction all because the brand of Tylenol she was taking had this red dye all over the outside of the capsule.

A: You either have water retention (edema)–due to low potassium diet, or high sodium diet–or preeclampsia.
During pregnancy, the body produces approximately 50% more blood and body fluids to meet the needs of the developing baby. Swelling is a normal part of pregnancy that is caused by this additional blood and fluid. Normal swelling, which is also called edema, is experienced in the hands, face, legs, ankles, and feet.

When does swelling occur during pregnancy?

“Long” days of activity
Diet low in potassium
High level of caffeine consumption
High level of sodium intake

Here are the symptoms of preeclampsia:

Rest, lying on your left side to take the weight of the baby off your major blood vessels.
Increase prenatal checkups.
Consume less salt.
Drink 8 glasses of water a day.
If you have severe preeclampsia, your doctor may try to treat you with blood pressure medication until you are far enough along to deliver safely.
Preeclampsia can prevent the placenta from getting enough blood. If the placenta doesn’t get enough blood, your baby gets less oxygen and food. This can result in low birth weight.

Vitamin C can help the Iron be absorbed easier in the system and some of the B Vitamins help combat anemia because they help in the production of red blood cells. Ive been wondering about energy sprays for under the tongue, and just wanted to know if its possible to place a normal B complex vitamin under the tongue for the same or similar energy results.(not the sublingual). I know that things absorbed under the tongue make their way through the body/glands faster, but I’m not sure if it would be safe for a regular vitamin since it would be a different dosage.

A: It wouldnt dissolve. Putting medication under the tongue IS sublingual. There is a liquid vit. B that you can take and put under the tongue. But you have to remember that B complex has more than just vit B in it. If your just wanting the energy source from Vit. B, then I would just get a reg B-12. It boosts brain power as well as energy. Q: Will a vitamin B injection help me avoid the seizures and DT’s associated with alcohol withdrawal?
I am an alcoholic and I’m currently weaning myself off alcohol, I’m afraid to go cold turkey because I tried that once before and had a couple seizures, hallucinations & DT’s, the Dr’s at the time told my family that I might not survive, after 5 days in ICU I did recover and stayed sober several months but about a month ago I sucumbed to my addiction at started drinking heavily again. I want to stop drinking but I don’t want to risk death in doing so. This time I hope to wean myself by gradually reducing my daily intake of alcohol. I’m currently down to 10 beers a day and my plan is to reduce my daily intake by one beer a day until I get down to no beers a day. A: You do need B vitamins but they do not prevent seizures alone.
But the bottom line is the following-
You have a history of DT’s therefore you are high risk for more DT’s upon withdrawal.
The standing orders we used in the Jail Clinic in Houston were the following:
Librium beginning very high and tapering over two weeks is crucial to preventing DT’s and early seizures.
Phenytoin loading dose immediately then maintenance dose. This is an old line seizure medicine.
Thiamine to prevent brain damage- which is given by IM injection 100mg/day before anything else to prevent Wernicke-Korsakoff Syndrome.
B Complex tablets which is the source of Niacin, twice a day, for 10 days, then daily.
Multivitamins with minerals and trace elements twice daily for 10 days, then daily.
Balanced plate lunch diet three times a day.
Daily physical examination for neurological status, and close management of concurrent chronic diseases (usually Diabetes, COPD, Hypertension, Liver disease and Heart Disease as a base-line).
Observation, supervision and on duty medical providers 24/7.
Immediate referral to Ben Taub General Hospital for complications and medical or surgical emergencies.
This is NOT a prescription, but is a functional outline of one protocol that worked 100% without seizures, DT’s or fatalities over a year period that I worked there.
Absolutely positively do not try this at home.
That is rock solid, do not even think of doing it at home: you need prescription meds, close 24/7 medical attention and care to prevent seizures and DT’s which is a medical emergency and kills.
The best treatment for the seizures and DT’s of alcohol withdrawal is prevention. Prevent them during the fragile period and you do not have fatalities. Allow them to begin and you have serious problems.
Rock Solid Advice- you should not only not go through withdrawal with your history at home,
you should not do it in any hospital or clinic that does not do this every day with good success and outstanding prevention of seizures and DT’s altogether.

A: Congrats on becoming a vegan! No walnuts do not contain b12 neither does most nutritional yeast. Walnuts do contain omega 3 though!
Some good sources of B-12 are fortified cereals, fortified soy/rice milks, meat substitutes/soy analogs, some brands of fortified brewer’s & nutritional yeast (such as Red Star & Twinlab). Sea vegetables like seaweed, dried nori, & spirulina, may contain vitamin B12, but their content varies and may be unreliable, lactic acid fermented products such as like tempeh, msio, beer & sauerkraut, but their content as well varies and may be unreliable. Marmite, So Delicious Dairy Free Yogurt, Manging Star foods, and other vegan store bought foods also contains B12 (Cyanocobalamin).

Q: Is it alright to have a multivitamin and a vitamin B complex?
I don’t think that I can really overdose with vitamin B with that ( I only eat like two meals a day). But I was just wondering if it would be alright?
A: Hi,
Check how much b12, b6 and folic acid your multivitamin provides you. You’re right it would be hard to overdose on b vitamins if you use both as directed.
However it is never really a good idea to have much more than the recommended amount of any vitamin or mineral since that just means that your body needs to work extra hard to get rid of it which puts stress on either your kidneys or your liver (depending on which substance the body is trying to get rid of).
So the answer is, yes it is ok to have b complex and multi, but do you really need to?
